Kurt Geiger Laser Cut Heart Wallet

I've been looking for a new purse for a while and recently spotted one on the Kurt Geiger website that caught my eye. I placed my order on Wednesday and it turned up today so fairly quickly.

The box it arrived in was far too big for the tiny purse inside so I think that could do with being looked at but it was nicely wrapped in Kurt Geiger tissue paper and I couldn't wait to get open it up!

I'm so happy with it, its so pretty and a really good size for me as I tend to hoard ALOT of receipts in my purse, hopefully with this one being so lovely I will be good and bin my reciepts, however this is highly unlikely.

I really like the design too, I do like hearts and it feel like really good quality so it should last me a while.

There is room for notes and cards on both sides of the wallet, it holds up to 8 cards and there is zip section in the middle also. The zips feel sturdy on both the inner section and the opening of the purse so fingers crossed I don't ending pulling them off when I'm frantically trying to get my money out in a shop when theres a huge queue behind me, this has happened on more than one occasion unfortunately.

I love my new purse  but now I need a new bag to go with it. Time for some retail therapy me thinks.

If you like the purse you can find it here on the Kurt Geiger website. It also comes in nude which looks like this

Postage is a bit steep at £4.95 but I think its worth it!

ELF Haul

ELF have recently done a 48% off sale and as I'm never one to pass up on a bargain I decided to put in a little order. I ordered either Tuesday or Wednesday morning and it came on Saturday, super quick considering how many orders must have been placed during the sale.

As usual it arrived well packaged, in perfect condition and with everything included.

There was one thing in particular that I really wanted to order from ELF and was my main reason for putting an order in, this item was the brow stencils. I was chatting to a friend at work who mentioned these and I really wanted to give them a go, they were only £1.50 (78p after the discount) for 4 different shaped stencils. I can't use all of them due to the shape of my brows but there are two that I should be fine with.

So after popping these into my basket I then ended up with this

All for only £35 delivered, bargain in my opinion. I've had a quick go of everything apart from the mascaras and nothing has disappointed. A few items are repurchases such as the brushes but everything else was new to me.

I've broken them down into sections, first up is brushes

L-R Concealer brush, blending eye brush, angled eyeliner brush, eyeshadow brush, lip defining brush and Kabuki brush
All the white brushes are part of the essentials line and are £1.50 each, the angled liner brush is part of the studio line and is £3.75 and the Kabuki brush is also part of the studio line and is £6.00. I already have all of these brushes apart from the Kabuki brush and they are really good quality, especially the angled liner brush, I can't be without this now and its the only brush I use for applying my eyeliner.

Next up we have eye products

L-R Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick (Little Miss Thing), Lengthening & Defining Mascara (Black),  Regular & Waterproof Mascara Duo (black),  Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick (Turkish Coffee), Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick ( Check Me Out), Mineral Eyeliner (Coffee) and Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow (Bridal Party)
The Jumbo Eyeshadow Sticks are £2.50 each and are great, I've given them a little go and I find them so much easier to use than the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils, they crease so badly on my lids but these are fab, even without a primer. The mascaras are both £1.50 but I haven't tried these as of yet because of the sheer amount of mascaras I have on the go at the moment. The eyeliner was £3.00, I swatched it on the back of my hand and it seems nicely pigmented and quite creamy and smooth so hopefully it wont tug when putting it on my eyes. The mineral eyeshadow was £3.50, its a really pretty white. I used it as a brow highlighter today and it worked perfectly fine for what I wanted.

Here we have a few lip products

L-R Luscious Liquid Lipstick (Baby Lips), Long Wear Lipliner (Natural Blush), Luscious Liquid Lipstick (Pink Lemonade), Long Wear Lipliner (Mauve Luxe) and Lipstick (Classy)
All of the lip products were £1.50 each. The liquid lipsticks are amazing and I can't wait to get my hands on some more. Baby Lips is definitely my favourite and I'll be popping a few more in my basket on my next order so I have plenty of backups.

Finally we have the face products

Top Row L-R HD Blush (Superstar), HD Blush (Showstopper) Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder (Turks & Caicos) , Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder (Antigua)
Bottom Row L-R Maximum Coverage Concealer (Porcelain), Contouring Blush & Bronzing Cream (St. Lucia) and Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder (Luminance)

Everything here was £3.75 apart from the bronzing powder which was £1.50. I swatched the HD blushes and they are amazingly pigmented, I definitely going to need some practise with these, I put the tiniest amount on the back of my hand and blended it out and it covered the whole of my hand! I used the pink blush from the Antigua duo today when we went out for tea and its lovely, its really pigmented and really flattering, I had some concerns of it looking slightly clownish but it was just a really nice flush of pink when blended out. You can build it up to a more intense colour if thats what you like but I only used a tiny amount.

So that was my ELF haul, not bad for £35 I don't think. You can buy ELF from here if your in the UK or here if your in the US. If you have never tried ELF before I definitely recommend it, if you like them on Facebook they are always doing various offers and promotions so its worth keeping an eye out if your wanting to put in an order. They also have great customer service as well and have always got back to me really quickly if I have had any problems with anything, they are super friendly too!

I'll be doing full reviews on individual items once I have given them a good go but if there is anything above that you would specifically like a review or swatches of please comment below and I'll get one posted for you.

Thanks for reading!

My new make up area

For the last couple of months my make up has been kept in my living room in my make up case and glossy boxes hidden down the side of the couch, the reason for this? because there was just too much and I had no idea where to keep it. The thought of trying to somehow squeeze everything into my teeny tiny dressing table was enough to bring me to tears but my husband announced that he was sick of seeing my make up and it was time to go.
It took me a good few hours but after alot of blood, sweat and tears all my make up now has a home.

What do you think?

I picked this dressing table up for £20 at a local charity shop and fell in love with it straight away, its not perfect but I have some plans to refurbish it, the stool was from Ebay and cost me about £3.20 and again I'm going to get some nice fabric and making this look a little bit gorgeous too. I know they are not to every ones taste but I love them.

The two drawers are pretty small so I used to Glossyboxes in each and put everyday products that I always reach for in each, we have lipsticks, mascaras (these are all my mascaras that are under 3 months old, I may have a problem), Face products and tools.

The eyelash curlers are my new Mister Mascara ones, I absolutely adore them and they are by far the best curlers I have ever tried, I will be doing a review on them shortly.

On top I keep my hair spray and dry shampoo, Mac brush cleaner and Fix + , my perfumes and a few other bits and pieces. There are some brushes that I very rarely reach for, my mirror and a jewellery holder.

I then just keep my big box underneath my table because there is no way on this earth that this was ever going to fit but I have had a big sort out and I think it looks a lot better since I did this post  on my everyday make up box.

If you spot anything here that you would like a review on just comment below. If you have done any posts on your make up area put a link below and I'll take a look, I love nosing around other peoples storage.

Sleek Blush by 3

I've been looking for some new blushes for a while and spotted this little beauty on New Looks website of all places. Priced at £9.99 I thought it was rather a good deal for 3 blushes. I've had Sleek blushes before and found them to be extremely good quality. They are highly pigmented and last a good 5/6 hours before they start to fade on me, which is better than some higher end blushes I have tried.

The palettes are actually smaller than I expected, I thought they were going to be a little bigger. Here is a picture next to one of the Sleek eyeshadow palettes for comparison.

I picked up the Lace palette which are some lovely very vibrant orange colours.

The shades are Crochet, Guipure and Chantilly. I have to say, Guipure does remind me a lot of Rose Gold, another Sleek blush that has been talked about alot and seems to have been out of stock everywhere for some time.

Again for comparison here is the Rose Gold blush next to Guipure, pretty similar, do you agree?

Here are the swatches of the blushes, as you can see they are really quite bright but the good thing about these are you can have them as just a slight wash of colour or build them up to a much heavier colour if you like.

Overall I feel like this is a really good buy for £9.99 and definitely worth a look, another fantastic product from Sleek.

Ebay Palette Review - 88 Warm Palette

I’ve seen so many of these palettes floating around on blogs and Youtube but never took the plunge in buying one. I know they are really cheap but I had low expectations of them with their extremely low price. After much deliberation I decided to take the plunge and buy one from Ebay. I purchased it from a UK seller so it would get to me quickly and that it certainly did. I ordered Wednesday night and it arrived on the Friday.

Unfortunately as the shadows are quite delicate and Royal Mail aren’t a few of the shadows smashed. I’m not too fussed though as there are loads to choose from and a couple shadows are quite similar so I don’t feel too bad about this.

The palette cost me a whopping £6.25 and that included delivery. This to me is absolute madness, madness I tell you!  This works out at just over 7p per shadow. I don’t even know how this is possible.

The first thing I have to say is that I am in love with this palette. It really is truly amazing and I will be buying the others they have also, they do some brights and shimmers etc and I will be getting all of them.

I’ve done some swatches below for you, you can see how pigmented these are, they are really soft so there is quite a bit of fallout but for 7p an eyeshadow can you complain?

These are just a couple I chose at random, look at that black! I find it really difficult to find a really good matt black from any brand including high end brands and this one is so good, it really is incredibly black. The other colours are beautiful too, there is a good mix of matt and shimmers. There is also plenty of highlight colours, browns, taupes and a few really nice colours thrown in. There are so many looks you can do with this palette. I have been using it for a very neutral base but quite a strong crease colour and it blends perfectly, dare I even say better than my Urban Decay which has recently been neglected due to me finding a lot more affordable brands that I find better quality. Yes, I know this may be considering swearing in the make up world but in my opinion its true :-)

You can find these palettes all over Ebay, if you type in 88 palette or 120 palette it will bring up lots of results for these.

What do you think of these palettes? Are you sceptical at the price or do you actually own one? I would love to know your thoughts!

Everyday Make Up Box

I thought I would do a quick post on my everyday make up box. This is what I keep out for my everyday make up look, I have an Ikea Helmer in my wardrobe which stores all my make up that only gets used occasionally. If you see anything here that you would like a review or swatches of please comment below and I will be more than happy to do a post for you.

This is my box, it was a super cheap buy from good ol’ Argos and cost a mere £29.99, it’s the perfect size to fit in all my essentials and works perfectly for me.

It has 4 sliding compartments and then a larger compartment at the bottom.

The 4 sliding sections are separated into areas of the face as much as possible, unfortunately as I have more of some things than others some products are slowly taking over other sections but I  can still see everything so that’s all that matters.

In the large ,it pretty much stores everything that is too big to fit into the sections, palettes, brushes, moisturisers and brushes.

Here is my everyday brush collection. I have these in here in a bag and my other brushes live in a container on my dressing table. I don’t own any Mac brushes or any expensive brushes, all of mine are really cheap or really reasonably priced, they work great for me so I don’t feel the need to spend lots of money on super expensivo brushes.

I have my Real techniques brushes

 My Crown brushes

My Eco Tools Brushes

My ELF brushes

and a few Models Own brushes

These are the brushes I use most of the time and I think each one is excellent, I own a couple more from each of these brands but they just didn’t quite make the cut to the everyday box :-)

Next we have another bag which contains samples of skincare products that I have received in beauty boxes. I am trying my best to make my way through them but I get so many that its difficult to keep up.

Finally as you can see here this is all my random shizzle at the bottom, it includes my Naked 2 palette, Bobbi Brown Antiqua palette, MUA Artiste palette, Urban Decay palette, Sleek palette just to name a few.

I hope you enjoyed taking a little look into my make up, I know I love looking at other peoples collections. If you’ve done this kind of post or similar please link below, I’m extremely nosy and would love to take a look!
